I wanted to write a love song that didn’t express any sort of emotional dependencies because going through that phase of realizing that we need to be responsible for our own happiness is a pretty tough lesson. So I wrote a love song that draws a comparison between my partner’s affections and material items like makeup and shoes. How beautiful it makes me feel to be loved by someone who I love so much. Looks So Good was my attempt at showing that classic love song tenderness while still maintaining my own personal strength.
