about

The Road was the last edition to the album and was very inspired by a week long submersion in the music of John Mayer. I wanted to express my feelings about the course coming to an end and my post-graduate future approaching and how ready I felt to take control of my life and start making it happen somewhere somehow but how scared and overwhelmed I was also feeling.

lyrics

I somehow seem to get where I wanna go
But that doesn't mean, I could tell you the road
For once in my life, I wanna shoot straight
If it’s the moon, I wanna know what steps to take
New York City is calling my name, ‘cause I love a Broadway stage
And I'm ready, I'm ready, I'm ready to find my way
Oh I've got a soul that lives for the thrill
And I've got a mind that has a will
My fingers seem to be in every pie
And it's a wonder I've made it anywhere on time
Tennessee is catching my eye, and all the songs that I would write
And I'm ready, I'm ready, I'm ready to find my way
Chorus
Oh, where do I go, what should I say,
How will I know what part to play
Oh, tomorrow, today, it's all the same, wherever I go
I'm finding my way
I am a lover I love to believe
That everything, will line up for me
Damn you reality one day I'll shine
‘Cause whose to say that when we fall, that we weren't flying
California is holding my heart, pack my bags and head for the stars
And I'm ready, I'm ready, I'm ready to find my way
Chorus x2
I somehow seem to get where I wanna go,
But that doesn't mean I could tell you the road
