about

I don’t know if Two Faces was more fun to write or sing. This song came from a place of wishing someone could just be the person I saw in them instead of wearing a mask and constantly changing with their environment and coming to terms with the fact that sometimes we have to let people go. And that’s never an easy decision to make. So Two Faces is about that internal struggle.

lyrics

Starring daggers through the room
Every time someone new, walks in looking nice
You say that's your face when your mind goes blank
We both know that's not true
Different sets and different scenes, you're not the you you are with me, you love to play, masquerade
Chorus
I see your colors changing
You don't need to fake it, you don't need two faces
I can see your colors changing
Put the show away, get off the stage, you don't need two faces
Insecurity doesn't always look that weak
You seem to hold it like a knife
You think you stand tall making everything small
We both know that's a lie
You try so hard but you just need to be the you you are with me, you love to play, masquerade
Chorus
We were close but now you're someone else
Can't keep up with your phases, I know I have to say this
There's the door, so show yourself out, I'm done done done done done
Chorus x2
